Good Paws! Behavior Consultations
|
People consult an animal trainer or specialist in behavior for different reasons and with different goals in mind. Many people hope that one hour or one session with a professional trainer will provide the key to their pet's problem. Most of the time this is not the case. Most of the time the problem the owner has identified is multi-faceted and more than just a pet problem. A pet's behavior affects every member of the family, the house, and often the neighbors. It is worth the investment of your time to change what is not working for you and your pet.

Not sure if you need a behavior consultation?
Is your pet's behavior interrupting the lifestyle you'd like to have? Has your pet's behavior changed without medical reason? Do you dread having company over because people and your pet don't get along? Has your vet recommended seeking professional training? These are all good signs that a professional behavior consultation is in order.
You may fill out the Good Paws! paper work in advance of our meeting, ask any questions you may have by phone or email, and then look forward to a professional assessment of what may be going on with the dynamics of your pet, their environment, and the many other variables that affect behavior. A typical behavior consultation takes approximately an hour and a half (1.5 hours.) The goal of a behavior consultation is to maintain or create a harmonious relationship between your pet and family. We look forward to working with you and your pet.
